Keeping his profession in view, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao allocated health and family Welfare to him. Soon after taking charge, Rajaiah signed the first file relating to a proposal to upgrade MGM Children’s Hospital in Warangal. The MGM hospital is a 120-bedded hospital with ICU facilities. He also sanctioned a 50-bedded hospital to Nangunuru in Medak district.

The Minister for Irrigation, T Harish Rao, the Minister for Agriculture, P Srinivas Reddy, and other party leaders congratulated Rajaiah after he assumed charge.
Later, the Deputy Chief Minister made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad. After inspecting the facilities and environment in the hospital, he exhorted the doctors to discharge their duties diligently to the satisfaction of the people. He said the goal of the TRS government was to extend good medical facilities to the rural population in the State.

Stating that his government would not agree for organising private medical entrance test, Rajaiah said the government would go to court, if necessary. He reiterated that his government would provide best medical services at people’s doorsteps. “Provision of quality medical care will be high on the priority list of the T government and the party and the government are committed to fulfilling all the promises made to the people during elections. Service to humanity is service to god is what our government believes in,” he added.
