Hyderabad: All is set ready for Padma Devender Reddy to become the First Deputy Speaker of the Telangana State Assembly. It is learnt that KCR approached Padma through Harish Rao, the Minister for State Assembly Affairs, for the same. Nevertheless, it is learnt that Padma has not shown interest to be the deputy speaker of the house stating that she would not be in the reach of the people of her constituency and thereby could not do good to the people of her constituency. Harish Rao met her in Ministers Chamber and pacified her somehow stating that Medak assembly constituency will be looked after by them equally to that of Siddipet constituency and expelled all her fears that she would not be in a position to do good to the people for being the deputy speaker.

She would be officially filing the nomination on Wednesday. So far, it is not known whether her candidature will be unanimously accepted or some other member of the assembly would also contend her in the polls.
