Kurnool: An unemployed youngster of Alamur in Rudravaram mandal in the district, Prahladudu, became an unintended victim of the Beas drowning tragedy after accompanying his uncle, Murali, who was a guide to the students of V N R Vignan Jyoti Institute of Engineering and Technology on Sunday. Prahladudu had gone to Hyderabad and stayed with Murali in search of a job on June 1.


The youth’s father, Kore Nagishetty and mother were bed-ridden in anxiety, unable to know the fate of their son. They were informed about the tragic accident by the wife of Murali, who reportedly stated that he saw the youth getting washed away in the swirling river waters in Pandoh dam. In distress, they said they were labourers, who believed in hard work. Nagishetty appealed to the district officials and the State government to intervene in securing the whereabouts of Prahladudu.
