Vijayanagaram: Lorry hits auto; 2 killed

Vijayanagaram: Early on Thursday, at Nellivadacheruvu of Bodampalli mandal in Vijayanagaram district, a lorry dashed with an auto rickshaw killing two people on the spot. In this incident, 8 others sustained stern injuries. The victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The dead bodies have been taken over by the police and sent them for autopsy. A case has been registered and investigations are on. More details are awaited.

From the other end, in another road accident in the same district, two people were killed when the bike they were travelling by hit a huge tree fallen on the road. This incident happened near Kanakadurga temple at Kotarubilli of Gantyada mandal in Vijayanagaram district. In this fatal incident, G. Sathish (22) and B.Kannam Naidu (32) lost their lives. According to Sharif, the Sub Inspector of Police, the duo could not feel the presence of the tree fell on the road due to heavy winds. The high speeding bike hit the tree fell on the road. The duo sustained stern injuries. While they were taken to the hospital, on the way itself they lost their lives, added Sharif. A case has been registered and investigations are on. These days, mishaps have been on a rise. Let it be a mishap on the road or fire or otherwise, the main reason turns to be the reckless attitude of the people. There is a need to exact the situation so as to prevent the accidents. Surely, if timely preventive measures would have been adopted, most of the accidents could have been avoided.
