Terming the Home Ministry as a ‘crown of thorns’, he pledged to leave no stone unturned to make sure that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s faith in him was not shaken. The minister received a resounding reception on his first visit to the district after the appointment.
A large number of TDP activists/leaders and officials welcomed him at Samalkot railway station and later at Peddapuram.
The minister told press persons that there would be no compromise in maintaining law and order.
All steps would be taken to maintain peace. He would lay special emphasis on law and order after assuming charge as Home Minister on June 22.
