YSRCP: Governor Address Disappointing
Stating that Governor ESL Narasimhan’s speech was totally confined to the contents of the TDP manifesto only, the YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy felt that the speech failed to give proper direction to the government. In a brief interaction with the media in the Assembly lobbies here, Jagan said the Governor's maiden address to the AP Legislature was akin to reading out the contents of the TDP manifesto. “I will elaborately express my views on the same in the AP Assembly when the House debates the thanksgiving motion on the Governor's address from Monday,” he stated.

Joining the chorus Rayachoti MLA G Srikanth Reddy said governor disappointed the people of Seemandhra with his speech, which failed to unveil a vision for the reconstruction of the truncated AP. “The governor has failed to instill confidence in the people of AP, who feel insecure about their future,” he said. Reacting to Jagan Mohan Reddy comments on the Governor's address, AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said, “The Governor always reads out the priorities of his government during his address, delivered to the joint session of both the Houses. Our government's priorities are set as per our party's manifesto. Hence, naturally the Governor's speech reflects the TDP manifesto and not the YSRCPs poll promises.” The leader of opposition in the State Legislative Council C Ramachandraiah (Congress) on Saturday said the government appears to be finding excuses not to implement its promises.
