Sriharikota: Soon after the successful launch of PSLV-C23, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, congratulated the ISRO scientists. He said with the tireless efforts put in by the scientists, the satellite has been kept in the desired orbit. He said he was proud to be witness the prestigious show live.

It is evident that from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. The vehicle was launched at 09:49 A.M. (IST) on Monday. PSLV-C23 carried a 714 kg French Earth Observation Satellite SPOT-7 as the main payload. Also, the 14 kg AISAT of Germany, NLS7.1 (CAN-X4) & NLS7.2 (CAN-X5) of Canada each weighing 15 kg, and the 7 kg VELOX-1 of Singapore are being carried as co-passengers. These five satellites have been launched under commercial arrangements that ANTRIX has entered with the respective foreign agencies. All the five satellites have been integrated with PSLV-C23 and carried in the PSLV.

It is worth recollecting that after the clearance from LAB, the 49 hour count down for the mission commenced at 08:52 A.M (IST) Saturday i.e. on June 28, 2014, delayed by 3 minutes to the scheduled 8.49 A.M (IST), earlier.
