A share of 20% was held by the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh as far as the immoral trafficking cases reported in India in 2013 revealed by NCRB were considered. Astoundingly, it is the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu that has topped the list of states with the maximum number of prostitution cases.

Of the total of 2,541 brothel cases booked in India, as many as 489 cases were booked in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh alone. Tamil Nadu state as mentioned previously has topped with 549 cases.
