Hyderabad: A CBI special court on Monday posted the case of alleged quid pro quo investments involving the firms of YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to August 11.

Jagan, who represents the Pulivendula Assembly in Kadapa district, and other accused including former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao and Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, also marked their presence at the Principal Special Court for CBI cases here in connection with different aspects of the case.

Arguments on the charges pertaining to the first charge-sheet in the case were to have started on Monday. However, one of the accused Hetero filed a discharge petition after which the judge posted the matter to August 11th.

The first charge-sheet was filed against Jagan and 12 others on March 31, 2012. The charges related to allotment of over 75 acres each to Hetero Group of Companies and Aurobindo Group.

Some senior IAS officers and industrialists who are among other accused in the different charge sheets filed in connection with the case also appeared before the court. The CBI has filed 10 charge sheets in the case.

The case pertains to alleged investments made by various private firms and individuals to the tune of several crore rupees in Jagan's businesses, as part of quid-pro-quo arrangement in exchange for alleged favours by the erstwhile YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) Government in the state.
