Says he is repeatedly violating the clauses of AP Reorganisation Act of 2014

Hyderabad: Several ministers of Andhra Pradesh strongly condemned the adamant attitude of Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who has been repeatedly violating the clauses of AP Reorganisation Act of 2014.

Reacting to the incident in which Special Chief Secretary of Tourism Chandana Khan was stopped at the gates of National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and his cabinet colleagues said any dispute should be solved across the table and if failed, should be referred to the Centre. If the Centre too failed to bring about a solution, there were courts to solve the problem.

Addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting here on Monday, he said TDP told the UPA government not to hurry through the Telangana Bill without consulting the stakeholders. KCR was present when the bill was drafted and was instrumental when it was passed by both the Houses of the Parliament, Ramakrishnudu said. Why should he object to Section 8 and 75, and Schedule 9th and 10th now when he himself was present during drafting, Yanamala pointed out.

The UPA government consulted few of its allies which include TRS. KCR even did not ask for amendment and was drowned in celebrating the passage of the bill.

TDP accepted the bill and welcomed consequent developments. “We want amicable settlement to all disputes since it serves the interests of Telugus of both States.

Telugu Desam has strong presence in Telangana though not in power and has to handle issues with care,” he added. When asked about the Centre’s role in the present scenario, Yanamala said the NDA government was not sitting in silence and initiating some action. Ministers Palle Raghunadha Reddy, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, K Atchennaidu and Kamineni Srinivasa Rao were also present.
