Hyderabad: The opposition parties on Wednesday described the first budget of the Andhra Pradesh as “deceptive and disappointing.”

The Left parties said the Finance Minister had indulged in jugglery of figures and “it hides more than what it reveals.” "It is a deceptive Budget," they said. The Congress party on the other felt that the budget had ignored the Muslims minorities. Andhra Pradesh State CPI Secretary K Ramakrishna wondered how a budget of Rs 1,11,824 crore could be presented by the Minister, while Naidu had all along been saying that the State was in a state of bankruptcy and released white papers to that effect. Either the white papers must be a pack of lies or the budget must be a jugglery of figures, he said.

The CPI (M) found fault with the way welfare was given the lowest priority.
