Madhuri came to the village after the death of her husband Gajendra Reddy (29), a software engineer, two days back in Kenya. DMHO Dasara tharamaiah told Hans India over phone that a medical team had been sent to examine the woman and her child as part of a precautionary drill.
However, Madhuri maintained that her husband died of pneumonia, which was confirmed by the Kenyan authorities. The arrival of the woman from Africa triggered rumors and fear psychosis in the village, and the media rushed there. The family members and villagers, irked over the wild rumors, did not allow the media to meet Madhuri. Sources said that the body of Gajen dra was expected to be brought in two days, after the completion of the formalities in Kenya.
