Heavy inflows at Srisailam reservoir

Srisailam: Heavy inflows continue into Srisailam reservoir. The officials lifted four radial gates by 10 feet to let out 98,117 cusecs of water downstream. The water being released from Srisailam will reach Nagarjunasagar dam.

Crest gates 7 has developed some technical problem when the official tried to open the gate. The levers attached to the gate have reported got jammed. With the officials stopped opening this gate.

The officials closed all the crest gates five days ago. However, three crest gates were opened on Monday when the reservoir started receiving inflows on Monday. One more crest gate was opened on Wednesday as inflows into the reservoir increased.
