Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy says Jagan has no moral right to continue in politics after he is named in 11 charge sheets

Hyderabad: The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has demanded YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to quit as party president and also as the Leader of Opposition in State Assembly owing moral responsibility as his name figured as the main accused in all charge sheets, including the latest one filed by CBI in connection with graft cases against him.

Addressing the press here on Wednesday, TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said Jagan had no moral right to continue in politics after he was named in 11 charge sheets. “It is a matter of shame for Telugu people that a corrupt leader was holding the position of main opposition leader, a post which was occupied by great people like TDP founder NT Rama Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan owes public apology for his misdeeds during his father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime,” he added.

Demanding that the YSRCP MLAs and MPs also come out of the party and go for fresh mandate sans Jagan’s leadership, he said the CAG indicted YSR government for the exploitation of mines and looting public money. The CBI alone unearthed corruption of Rs 43,000 crore in the Jagan assets case.
