Vishakhapatnam: People of Vizag have a habit of picking up themselves, even when they are thrown into a pit of chaos. They faced many obstacles like this in the past. Whatever comes in their way, they will stand against it united.

The most varied cultures and sects of people are seen in Vishakhapatnam than in any other city. In spite of their differences, Vizagites will always come together when the situation demands.

Hudhud, one of the most devastating cyclones in the history of Mankind left Vizag in utter chaos. But that doesn’t stop the Vizagites. They came together and took the burden of re-building their city from rubble on their shoulders. They are already gathering every evening and cleaning up their city streets.

G.Dheeraj, a software engineer says “Nothing in the world can break the spirit of Vizag. We are Vizagites, we never lay down. Though we are different people, we are united in Spirit.”

“We don’t care whatever the world throws at us. We are Vizagites, We won’t break, it’s not the first time our city faced something this devastating. We will overcome it together as we always do,” L.Manasa, a B-tech student.

“Difficult times like this test the strength of the society, I am really happy that our city proved once against to resilient against all the odds. It’s really helping that government is doing its part,” says L. Krishna Murthy, a School teacher.

"I have been observing the people here for the past few days. It’s really amazing the strength this community holds. They are putting social media to a good use to rebuild their city. They are reaching out to all the citizens through Facebook and twitter," says Philip Martel, a foreign tourist.

True enough Vizag is recovering fast with the combined efforts of the people and the government.The entire nation salutes the Spirit of Vizag.

Now it became clear why they call Vizag a city of Destiny, its because they choose their own desitny for themselves.
