Former BJP MLA makes shocking allegations

Hyderabad: A former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Yennam Srinivas Reddy has alleged conspiracy in the Chandrababu Naidu government’s proposed land pooling for the new capital.

Speaking in a panel discussion on HMTV, the BJP leader accused that the Naidu government in united Andhra Pradesh encouraged real estate boom to benefit vested interests. Reddy was particularly referring to the land allocation for Hi-Tec City. The social and political elite close to the then government had purchased large tracks of land in the vicinity of the site proposed for the Hi-Tec City, using insider information, he alleged.

Drawing a parallel now, Reddy maintained that a similar plot is now being hatched out in Tulluru area. He further stated that the new government in AP was deliberately allowing confusion to prevail over the capital to benefit real estate manipulators. The BJP leader’s comments assumed significance as it is allied with TDP in the State. The AP BJP leadership may have to clarify on its TS leader’s comment lambasting the government’s policy of land pooling. BJP is also part of the AP government.
