Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government will have government to government understanding with Singapore for construction of the new capital city and some ports across the State. Indicating this during a media conference on Sunday, Naidu who has recently returned from his three-day visit to Singapore said he had asked the Singapore government to prepare the master plan for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said the proposed capital city would have vertical buildings both above and below the ground replicating Singapore city so as to overcome land scarcity problem.

The Singapore government would prepare a blueprint for the construction of a world-class capital for AP. Singapore government was very much eager to work with AP, Naidu said. He also applauded the island nation's success in developing itself on all fronts within a very short span of time after its separation from Malaysia. Naidu said very soon both governments would form a ‘Joint Working Group (JWG)’ to take forward this process. At the same time, Naidu is also planning to enter into PPP (Public Private Partnership) agreements with some top-notch private companies in Singapore to construct world-class ports in AP. According to him, once the Singapore government prepares the master plan for AP capital, then AP government will decide who should execute what project and who should procure what material for the construction of the capital.

Naidu to visit Japan from Nov 23

Hyderabad: N Chandrababu Naidu is now preparing to visit Japan from November 23. During his proposed six-day tour of Japan, Naidu will study the development model of the Asian giant and showcase the investment opportunities in AP to business leaders there.

According to Naidu, Japan is ready to invest 40 billion dollars in India. “Hence, I have decided to visit Japan to explain investors in that country the opportunities available in AP,” Naidu said adding that the purpose of his visit to Japan was to study their development model and adopt certain components to give AP global visibility. Naidu would start his tour from Osaka on Nov 24 and will address the IT forum in Kyoto the next day.
