Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State government has directed its officials to submit a report on setting up a separate Revenue Divisional Office and an Integrated Tribal Development Office (ITDA) for the seven mandals of the Bhadrachalam division. These mandals earlier falling under the Bhadrachalam sub-division in Khammam were merged with Andhra Pradesh.
Disclosing this after a meeting of Telangana TDP MLAs with the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here at secretariat on Wednesday, Sattupalli MLA S Venkata Veeraiah said the Chief Minister had responded positively to this and immediately asked the senior officials to submit a report on the matter. He said it would be difficult for the people living in these seven mandals to go to Rampachodavaram in East Godavari and Jangareddygudem in West Godavari to get their administrative works done.
He said Chandrababu Naidu has also responded positively to use his good offices in getting done several issues related to Telangana pending with the Union government.
The Andhra Pradesh government had earlier announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to the families of those students who were washed away to death in River Bias in Himachal Pradesh. And, the CM had agreed for immediate release of the compensation. Though several of the victims in the tragedy belong to Telangana State they were also Telugu people and the CM had agreed to this, he added. It was also decided in the meeting to further strengthen the party at district level and to take the enrolment of active membership of the party in Telangana in a big way.
