AP Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao speaking to the media at the Board of Intermediate office in Hyderabad on Thursday.Hyderabad: Fulfilling its elections promise to conduct District Selection Committee (DSC) examinations, Human Resources Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced a schedule to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) to fill up 9,061 posts in teachers in government Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad Schools in the state, through the District Selection Committees. Rao said that this was the first recruitment notification after the bifurcation of the state. Syllabus, rules, guidelines and district-wise vacancy position would be placed on the website www.dseap.gov.in in due course, he added. He said that those who had secured highest marks in the earlier TET examination too should attend the examination.

However, higher marks secured in one of the two examinations would be taken into consideration for the purpose of selection. On the issue of allowing B Ed graduates to take the test, he said that the Center and the National Council of Education had rejected the proposals to permit the same, as a part of national wide policy.
