Anantapur: Police cracked the missing case of a woman after a year. Addressing the media, SP Rajasekharababu said that advocate Yerriswamy’s wife Sujata went missing one year ago. Police took the case as a challenge and solved it after conducting a probe into the case, he said.
It may be recalled that Sujata committed suicide in October 2013 by jumping in front of a running train near National Park on the outskirts of Anantapur. But the railway police registered a case stating it as the unidentified body. Meanwhile, police exhumed the body, which was buried in a grave yard at Gooty road, as per the information given by the family members of the deceased and they conducted re-postmortem. To ascertain the identity of Sujata, police sent the skeletal remains of Sujata to Forensic Science Lab in Hyderabad.
SP Rajasekharababu stated that she had ended her life after having a tiff with her husband. The investigation of the case would continue further after receiving the DNA report.
