YS Jagan, YSRCP future in Telangana, AP

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of late Andhra Pradesh chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy has began his full time political career. He entered politics with an aim to rule Andhra Pradesh. But senior leaders in the Congress had other plans much to his shock.

He later tried to be content on ruling at least divided Andhra Pradesh as TRS was predicted to win in Telangana. However, his dreams were dashed as TDP won the recently concluded elections in residuary AP.

Now many people are wondering whether Jagan's YSR Congress Party will be able to gain power in next elections. In Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP is trying its best to attract people's attention by agitating on various issues hat affect people. But with Jagan making personal attacks on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, the purpose is lost.

In Telangana, the party is virtually wiped out and its friendly relation with the ruling TRS is creating confusion. Perhaps it is with this intention that Jagan's arrow Sharmila has began her paramarsa yatra in Telangana. Unless and until Jagan formulates different strategies it cannot upstage aggressive TDP, TRS and BJP in the twin states.
