Guntur: Passengers travelling in an APSRTC bus had a providential escape here on Friday when the bus driver in which they were travelling suddenly became unconscious due to low BP and collapsed on the steering wheel. The bus was going to Piduguralla from Vijayawada when the driver D Koteswara Rao suffered low blood pressure and lost control of the vehicle. According to eye-witnesses, the bus rammed against a car and also mowed down many cycles and two-wheelers on the way before dashing against an electric pole. The frightened passengers raised an alarm. Fortunately nobody was injured. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and regulated the traffic.
