Vijayawada: Mayor Koneru Sridhar inspected Divisions 5 and 6, BSNL office area and Machavaram in the city on Wednesday. MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and the town planning officials of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) accompanied the Mayor during his visit to the two divisions.
After noticing trenches at the BSNL office, Masjid centre and a few other places, the Mayor directed the officials concerned to fill the pits dug for laying cables and pipelines and undertaking repairs soon after the completion of works to ensure that road users and motorists do not face anyinconvenience. He ordered laying of a BT road at Narlavari Street after seeing the poor condition of the road. The sanitation workers were asked to keep the two divisions clean and tidy.
Corporator of division No 21 Nelibandla Rama Swamy and Ravi Traders donated wheelbarrows to the sanitation department of the VMC for the disposal of garbage. Corporators Kancharla Naga Venkata Sesharani (Division No 5) and Sk Sahera Banu (Division No 6) were also present.C
