Akkineni Awards presentation in Gudivada today
Akkineni Foundation of America will present the Akkineni International Puraskaram for eminent people in different walks of life at a function to be held at ANR College in Gudivada on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: Akkineni Foundation of America will present the Akkineni International Puraskaram for eminent people in different walks of life at a function to be held at ANR College in Gudivada on Wednesday.
The foundation president, Dr Thotakura Prasad, told newsmen here on Tuesday that Akkineni Nagarjuna, son of the legendary actor and people’s representatives would attend the award presentation function.
He said the awards would be presented to Dr KI Vara Prasad Reddy (Science and Technology), Justice S Parvatha Rao (Law and Justice), P Sampath Kumar (Civic Services), MS Raju (Education), K Raghavendra Rao (Films), Dr Mannem Gopichand (Health), Gummadi Gopala Krishna (Stage Art), Dr Vamsi Rama Raju (Social Service) and Vennam Jyothi Surekha (Sports). Former Rajya Sabha member Dr Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad would unveil the statue of Akkineni Nageswara Rao on the occasion, he said.
The foundation vice-president, K Ravi, secretary A Sarada, board of directors Vannem Murali, K Chalapathi Rao and others were present.
