AP farmers who refused lands lose crops

In a case of tragedy, unknown persons set crops and fodder on fire in Andhra Pradesh capital belt region. It is learnt that the burnt farms were properties of those who refused to give their lands to the government for land pooling.

Sudden blaze in Penumaka, Rayapudi, Undavalli, Lingayapalem, Uddandar-ayunipalem and Mandamon of Tadepalli and Thulluru mandals destroyed fodder, banana plantations and bamboo stocks. The area is spread over 10 square kilometres, it is learnt.

Farmers cried foul saying it was a deliberate attempt by the TDP government to destroy their crops for refusing to abide by the government's order.
