Eamcet in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh: ESL Narasimhan Steps in. Education Ministers of both the Telugu speaking states are expected to meet Governor ESL Narasimhan in a few minutes from now.

The AP HRD minister for Education, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Telangana Minister for Education G. Jagadish Reddy will meet ESL today to sort out the EAMCET fiasco that has caused a lot of distress among students in both AP and Telangana.

It's a known fact that Ganta had alleged that the Telangana Government has violated the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 in Education by forming its own Council for Higher Education, thus creating problems in counselling for admissions to Engineering and Medical courses.
On the other hand, Telangana blamd AP for he possibility of students facing separate Eamcet exams by declaring the schedule unilaterally.
Jagadish Reddy told the medoa that the governor didn't have any problem if the two states conducted the EAMCET exams separately as long as there was no bad blood between the two states.
It was AP that had shown over-enthusiasm by announcing the Eamcet schedule unilaterally, ignoring the fact that the State Council of High Education (SCHE) would go to Telangana as per the AP Reorganisation Act as it was headquartered in Hyderabad. Thus the right of holding Eamcet would also belong to Telangana, Jagadish Reddy had said.
Today's meeting is expected to resolve the issue.
