The review has been done as part of the recent incidents of intrusion of foreign vessels and boats into Indian territorial waters, posing danger to the security of the country.

The visiting Naval Chief had reportedly discussed the security scenario along the 920 kms of the coastline of the State. The review has been done as part of the recent incidents of intrusion of foreign vessels and boats into Indian territorial waters, posing danger to the security of the country.

The Naval Chief has been reportedly meeting heads of States having the coastline in the country to review and suggest the steps need to be taken from their side and to coordinate with the Coast Guard and other Naval establishments. Dhowan also suggested the Chief Minister specific measures to be taken to improve its marine policing and other coordination with the security agencies of the forces. Responding to it, the Chief Minister had assured that all necessary steps would be taken from the State government side.
