Capital construction being politicised: Anam

Nellore: Former Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy observed that the construction of new capital is being politicised. He alleged that some vested interests were resorting to attacks demanding the construction of capital in their respective areas.

He lamented that the TDP government was concentrating on the construction of the capital and leaving the common man in the lurch. The prices of essential commodities were skyrocketing as the government had failed to contain the prices. He lambasted the government for taking the farmers for a ride by not fulfilling its poll promise of loan waiver. The farmers, who were waiting with bated breath on loan waiver, were disappointed as the banks are seizing their assets for not paying loans.

Former MLA Anam took a dig at Nellore YSRCP City MLA Anil Kumar Yadav and Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for working in favour of the government in spite of being in the Opposition.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday, he lamented that in the name of master plan the municipal corporation was taking people for a ride. He suggested to the civic officials not to target individuals and their buildings. The government has right either to change the master plan or cancel it. He condemned the allegations leveled by Nellore City MLA Anil Kumar Yadav and rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on changes in the master plan when the Congress was at the helm. He reminded that they had stopped the master plan which was introduced by them in order to implement the plan as per the wish of people.
