Migratory birds start arriving

Nellore: The Pulicat Lake, one of the two major salt lakes of the country, spreading over the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu attracts more than 300 varieties of migratory birds during winter at the time of Flamingo Festival. They come from the northern continents to the South during winter as they get plenty of food in the lake. During the night, the birds take the help of stars from moving from one place to another.

On the occasion of the Flamingo festival, a goldsmith Shaikh Musavir, who resides in Janda Street in the town made Flamingo birds with 2,500 grams of silver. He said that it took him two days to complete the entire work.
