Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy on Saturday castigated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for failing to fulfil his “tall poll promises” even seven months after coming to power. Speaking to media persons here, Sai Reddy alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had failed to secure special category status to give fillip to development in the State.

The UPA government had incorporated the promise of special category status to the State in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Though the TDP was the ally of the BJP, which was leading the NDA government at the Centre, the Chief Minister had failed in his mission to push for special category status for the State. The Chief Minister was trying to mislead people by making `false claims.’
