Cold wave warning in four coastal & eight TS districts
Cold wave warning in four coastal & eight TS districts, Sunday\'s minimum temperatures are below normal by 24 degrees Celsius at most places in Telangana, at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Rayalaseema.
Hyderabad: The Met office on Sunday issued a warning stating that cold wave conditions would prevail on January 19 and 20 in some parts in Srikakulam, Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in many parts Adilabad, Nizamabad, Khammam, Warangal, Medak, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts of Telangana.
Sunday's minimum temperatures are below normal by 24 degrees Celsius at most places in Telangana, at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Rayalaseema.
On Sunday dry weather prevailed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.The minimum temperature fell at a few places in Rayalaseema, appreciably fell at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The minimum temperature were markedly below normal at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, appreciably below normal at a few places in rest of coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana, below normal at a few places in Rayalaseema, at one or two places in rest of Telangana.
The lowest minimum temperature of 11 deg Celsius was recorded at Nandigama in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
Adilabad in Telangana recorded the lowest minimum temperature of nine degree Celsius. Cold wave conditions prevailed over many parts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal and Medak districts on Sunday.
The minimum temperatures recorded in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 15, Kakinada 16, Kalingapatnam 13, Kavali 19, Machilipatnam 17, Nandigama 11, Narsapur 17, Nellore 20, Ongole 19, Tuni 17, Vijayawada 15, Visakhapatnam 19, Anantapur 17, Arogyavaram 14, Kurnool 16, Tirupati 17. The minimum temperatures recorded in Telangana were: Badrachalam 13, Hakimpet 14,Hanmakonda 13, Hyderabad 13, Mahabubnagar 15, Medak 11, Nalgonda 12, Nizamabad 13, Ramagundam 11.
