AP farmers fume at Chandrababu Naidu over crop ban

The Andhra Pradesh government's decision to stop farmers from cultivating crops in the area that's being considered for AP capital has not gone down well with the farmers.

Agitated farmers living in villages close to the Krishna River protested Chandrababu's decision of not consulting them before announcing the ban. They also got support from YSRCP, CPM and Congress. It's worth mentioning here that N Srikanth, the CRDA commissioner made it clear that farmers cannot grow crops in the capital area in the next agricultural season.
