Telengana irrigation adviser Sri R Vidhasagar said today that Andhra Pradesh government was adamant that Krishna water should be distributed as per Bachawat tribunal allocations but as per requirement and project wise . 'The tribunal had made only state wide allocation for united AP at 811 TMC and after bifurcation AP got 523 TMC ( 63%) and Telengana 299 TMC ( 37%) '.

But AP does not recognize the sharing and wants us to allow them more utilization just because they have projects and don't want us to use it even when we are having the need for Kharif and Rabi ", he told reporters at SEcretariat today

Commenting on the ongoing row at Nagarjunasagar , the irrigation adviser said CM was very positive to not harm the farmers interests of AP, but that the N sagar water ceiling has to be implemented gradually and not abruptly. But AP govt, politicians and engineers are defying even the verdicts of the Bachawat ,Raja Rao committee , Brajesh Kumar tribunal and also the verdict of Supreme court and the Central Water commission .

Displaying all the orders of above ombudsman Vidyasagar Rao said that there is no project specific water allocation in Krishna river and hence AP can not ask us to not use our share in Bhima and other projects under construction in what ever manner .and wherever we want.

He said it was a case of fence blaming the crop as AP has already been using more water than allocation and also more than share in surplus waters .. Right now there is 532 TMC of water available in the Srisailam and Nagarjunsagar storage reservoirs . ' AP can not command us to not use our rightly allotted share in which ever manner we want ', he added.
