Kadapa: The Communist Party of India-Marxists leaders and activists laid siege to the Transco office here on Friday in protest against the prposed hike in electricity charges. Speaking to the media, CPI-M city secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy said the TDP government was pulling wool over people.

The State government had now proposed to increase the taxes and thus imposing burden on the people, he lamented. The CPI-M leader wondered as to why Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who was showering so much love for foreign countries like Singapore and the America, had no concern for the people in the State. He demanded immediate rollback of the prices failing which the CPI-M would be forced to launch agitation.
