Sitaram Yechury slams TDP and BJP

CPM top gun Sitaram Yechuri has lambasted both the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the BJP for not acting in true spirit of the AP Reorganization Act,2014.

Addressing the 24th conference of the party at Vijayawada Yechuri said Chandrababu Naidu had failed to get the state dues from centre and the BJP had miserably failed to honor the commtments made to AP during the enacting of ASP Reorganiztion Act.

Yechuri said BJP was hoodwinking the AP and Telangana government after supporting the division and is raising the bogey of several misgivings and blunders in the Act . which were coming in th way of its successful implementation and delivering the promises made to both the states . 'The land pooling in AP for the Capital region and also against the ordinance on land acquisition has exposed the true colors of the BJP and the TDP' he said

In all 550 deelgates including seven left party representatives are participating in the state conference focusing on the path ahead for left parties in the divided state and priorities. Politburo members B V Raghavulu, Hemalatha and P Madhu have drafted the focus paper and also thrown it open for debate at the conference .

Sitaram Yechury has said that opening all the sectors of Indian economy will ruin farmers. He is of the opinion that highly-subsidised agricultural and dairy products will flood the market, ruining the country's farmers. “Opening up all our economic sectors to greater US and foreign investment will compound the current agrarian distress by allowing highly subsidised US and European agricultural and dairy products to be sold in the Indian market' he says.
