Palm tree trunk kills 7 year old school girl in Guntur dist

A private school bus was hit by a palm tree trunk near Noothakki village of Mangalagiri mandal of Guntur district today killing Lahari, a second standard school girl on the spot and injuring 10 others.

There were 20 school children in the bus belonging to Vijnan Vihar school on the Noothakki-Kothapalen highway near the Sringapuram when the bus hit a cluster of dried palm tree, and the trunk fell on the bus.

District police and health officials reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured and some were taken to district hospital for shock treatment.

We all know the school bus-train collision which took away prime lives in July last in Medak district killing nearly 25 school children. School bus accidents are most painful incidents when tiny tots getting injured and their life cut short due to a third party's negligence.
