New Delhi: YSRCP president and the Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy returned to Hyderabad on Tuesday without meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He sought an appointment to meet the Prime Minister during his visit but sensing that he would not get an appointment, he along with his MPs left Delhi for Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.

A source said, “Jagan waited for two days but there was no word from the Prime Minister’s Office. So he went back today.” Jaganmohan Reddy’s party has nine MPs in the Telugu-speaking states, including one in the Telangana State. He is understood to be keen on having cordial relations with the BJP.

But BJP has pre-poll and post-poll alliance with the TDP. During his stay in the capital, Jaganmohan Reddy met the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu. He urged them to make budgetary allocations for various projects in Andhra Pradesh.
