After an overnight stay in TTD Guest House, the Sri Lankan President took part in the sacred "Suprabhatha Seva" conducted inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Tirumala temple in the wee hours on Wednesday. Later, he offered prayers to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara. Before leaving the shrine, the Lankan President was presented with a sacred silk cloth, a holy photo and prasadams while the priests, amid chanting of Vedic hymns, blessed him. Tight security arrangements were put in place all along the 35-km route leading to the airport from the hill temple.
