As the clock ticked 10.15 PM on Wednesday, it marked the historic bill passed in the Parliament an year ago by a voice vote. While it brought joy to the 4 crore population of Telangana, it brought tears to the six crore people of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

Since then, the electoral mandate in the May polls expected to change the parliament mandate also went in favour of bifurcation and thereby sealed the fate of Seemandhra and added another feather in the Telangana's cap and thrilled people who have been fighting for autonomy and separate statehood since 1960s.

If there is anything the Seemandhra people can never forgive or forget, it is that fateful day when the live session in parliament was cut, doors were closed and within minutes, the AP reorganization Act and bifurcation bill was passed by voice vote ( No voice could be recorded ) due to huge protests and opposition. Even the first very major speech in English (typical Bhimavaram English) by the union Minister for Tourism and Actor Chiranjeevi went waste.

Wednesday , February marked the black anniversay for Seemandhras, but a golden day for the people of Telangana. While Semandhras say they have been murdered and their their throats were slit Telangananites feel that their voice has been heard after all and answered by the divine call.

The former TDP MP from Nararasaopeta Modugula Venugopal Reddy whose seat Chandrababu Naidu gave away to the congress defector and tobacco tycoon Rayapati Sambashiv Rao has described it as the darkest day in every Telugu speaking individual's life.

Venugopal Reddy reportedly added that the Congress party simply bulldozed its way using brutal force to get the bifurcation bill passed without any reasoning or sensibility. The people of Seemandhra have amply responded to the Congress brutality with a bullet for bullet. "They have correctly wiped out congress from the map of AP," he said. The drubbing which began in AP had extended to entire country and the Congress was reduced to just double digits in Parliament sub zero in AP and only single digit in Telangana.
