TS seeks assistance for Mission Kakatiya

Hyderabad: NABARD has sanctioned Rs 238.12 crore for Andhra Pradesh and Rs 278.46 crore for Telangana for various infrastructural projects in these states, in the Project Sanction Committee Meeting held on February 20, taking the cumulative sanctions to Rs 1039.82 crore and Rs 529.07 crore for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States respectively for the financial year 2014-15.

The funds sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh will be utilised for creation of 28 Community Health Centres and construction of buildings for 25 Junior Colleges. Infrastructural facilities will also be provided for Andhra Pradesh Horticulture University.

Whereas, the sanctioned funds for Telangana will be utilised for construction of 2 Government residential school buildings, 10 Community Health Centres and 173 rural bridges in 9 districts of the State, Jiji Mammen, Chief General Manager, NABARD informed.

Mammen also informed that the Telangana Government has submitted proposals for part funding “Mission Kakatiya” Project in the State. The proposal will be considered in the forthcoming meeting of the Project Sanctioning Committee of NABARD.
