The humongous task of land collection has been completed successfully by the Andhra Pradesh government and now is planning to lay the foundation stone in May to complete the first phase of the new capital by June 2018.

P. Narayana, CRDA vice-chairman and minister for municipal administration thanked the landowners/farmers and officials who helped achieve the land pooling record of 32,100 acres.

The CRDA who successfully collected the lands are continuing with the task and are hopeful to complete the 34,000 acres target.

On the request of local TD leaders to complete the land target, the CRDA offices worked on Sunday even after the closure announced by the CRDA vice-chairman and minister P. Narayana on Saturday.

B. Narasimha Rao, TD state secretary said that revised LPS package largely attracted the landowners/farmers thereby making the locals of Mandadam, Raya-pudi, Venkatapalem, Nowluru, Linga-yapalem, Yerrabalem, Nidamarru, Kuragallu and other anti-LPS villages to offer their lands.
