Railbus becomes popular in Saluru. The Railbus which runs from Saluru to Bobbili and passes through Narayanappa Valasa, Rompalli and Shisti Sitapuram enroute has become quite popular. It makes five trips everyday between Saluru and Bobbili.

The Railbus at Bobbili Railway Station in Vizianagaram districtSaluru (Vizianagaram): The Railbus which runs from Saluru to Bobbili and passes through Narayanappa Valasa, Rompalli and Shisti Sitapuram enroute has become quite popular. It makes five trips everyday between Saluru and Bobbili.

Nearly 300 students travel by the Railbus daily and it has become a joyride for the children. It has become popular, especially among the students, traders, tourists and the residents of the town. It is taking three times more number of passengers than it should normally take and they are demanding another bogie for the Railbus to meet the heavy demand.

Although it costs Rs 15 to travel from Saluru to Bobbili, currently they are collecting only Rs 10 and tickets are given in the Railbus. However, people are finding it difficult to go to the Railway station from the Saluru town, as it is at a distance of 15 km and there is no proper road connectivity.

While there is no staff at the Saluru Railway Platform, the stations Narayanappa Valasa, Rompalli and Shisti Sitapuram do not have railway platforms. People travelling at night are finding it even more difficult. The passengers demand benches to sit at the Saluru station, drinking water facility and streetlights. As Bobbili is an important historical town, people are keen to travel by the Railbus and visit the town.
