Kadapa: Deputy Mayor of Kadapa Arifullah was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly obstructing the police from discharging their duties. One Town CI Sadasivayya registered a case against the Deputy Mayor after they had a heated argument following the seizure of a bike during night patrolling as the vehicle was plied without valid documents.
The CI accused Arifullah of not only obstructing his duty but also abusing him. Following the arrest, YSR Congress Party leaders held discussions with the police but failed to prevent the arrest of Arifullah.
