He said steps would be taken to re-open Ramagundam Fertilisers plant in Telangana, besides, launching the Bhadrachalam-Vijayawada highway soon. Venkaiah, who is on a tour of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, is campaigning for the BJP’s MLC candidate for the elections. “The BJP Government at the Centre has come up with various welfare schemes for inclusive growth and will bring the poorest of the poor to the mainstream. He appealed to the people to extend support to the BJP in Telangana for similar growth in the days to come. The successive governments ignored the development, plight of the poor and deprived classes, he alleged. Venkaiah also alleged that several attempts have been made to disrupt the unity and integrity of the nation.

However, during Modi’s rule, prices of essential commodities have come down, he said, adding that the Union Government was giving equal priority to women in all sectors. Though, the State was separated geographically, all the Telugu people are same and are brothers, he said. He expressed concern that many people still won’t have a bank account though the nation became free six decades ago.

The Modi Government has taken an initiative to ensure that every family across the country should have a bank account through Jan Dhan Yojana, he said. The scheme evoked tremendous response from the people and more than one crore people opened their bank accounts in recent times, he remarked.
