Chandrababu joins the line of celebrities with Prime Minister, 13 other CMs, the Indian Army, Indian Railways and the Ministry of External Affairs in the new initiative of the Micro blogging site Twitter which provided key national political leaders the ability to send their tweets to their (offline) followers directly via SMS.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Twitter Chief Executive Officer Dick Costolo launched the #TwitterSamvad service at 4:30pm on Tuesday. As a partner on the the launch platform, Chandrababu said that as a proponent of technology and an active Twitterati, the #TwitterSamvad# service gives an opportunity to reach people in a face to face manner.


The “#Samvad’ is a great cross-medium service that will bridge the digital divide & revolutionize how leaders talk to people said Chandrababu. The Chief Minister’s twitter handle @ncbn where his admirers can activate their following and by giving a missed call to 01130495767, they can activate the free service which leaders to freely send up to 3 tweets a day and 45 tweets a month.

It also gives them an opportunity to send an urgent message by adding the #Alert hash tag in the tweet. A media release from the CMO stated that the #Alert tweets will go as SMS immediately.
