AP transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao on Thursday said that as a joint capital, for ten years, Telengana has no right to impose transport tax for vehicles coming from AP to Hyderabad.
After apprising the Governor ESL Narasimhan of the AP stand on the issue and the injustice to the state by Telangana transport tax move, the AP minister said for ten years the present tax regime should continue.
He said AP Govt also could impose tax on vehicles from Telangana just like TS Govt, but that is not being done.
