Mahabubnagar in Telangana recor-ded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius in the southern region. On Friday, the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at one or two places in Rayalaseema and changed slightly elsewhere in the region.

Hyderabad: The two States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are set to face a hot spell with the day temperature rising sharply. Mahabubnagar in Telangana recor-ded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius in the southern region. On Friday, the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at one or two places in Rayalaseema and changed slightly elsewhere in the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places in Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at a few places in Telangana and at one or two places in rest of coastal AP and Rayalaseema.In Andhra Pradesh the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in the coastal areas and changed slightly in Rayalaseema. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kurnool, Nandyal and Tirupati.

The maximum temperatures recorded in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 34, Kakinada 36, Kalingapatnam 33, Kavali 38, Machilipatnam 36, Nandigama 40, Narsapur 34, Nellore 40, Ongole 37, Jangamaheswarapuram 38, Tuni 39,Vijayawada 39, Visakhapatnam AP 36, Anantapur 40, Arogyavaram 37, Kurnool 41, Nandyal 41, Tirupati 41. The recordings in Telangana were: Adilabad 40, Hakimpet 38, Hanmakonda 39, Hyderabad 39, Mahabubnagar 42, Medak 39, Nalgonda 40, Nizamabad 41, Ramagundam 40.
