Only smugglers and not coolies were shot dead, says Bojjala

AP forest Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy on Wednesday defended the shooting down of the red sanders smugglers and said the AP government was committed to strike down the smugglers with an iron hand.

Rejecting the contention that those killed on Tuesday in Chittoor forests were only coolies, and not smugglers; the Minister said “Why would the coolies come and spend the night in forest belt, if they were not smugglers.”

He said this was only a beginning and the politicians who had links with the smugglers will not be spared at any cost. “Police are investigating the smugglers antics with their cell phone data and soon all black deeds of smugglers and their supporting politicians will be exposed,” concluded the Minister.
