In all, over 50 buses in the 14 depots of the districts kept off the roads causing major inconvenience to pilgrims of Tirumala, students attending exams and also traders.
The NMUs have been demonstrating at various locations in the temple town besides Alipiri. Bus service has been badly affected in all the towns of Chittoor district and also to outstation destinations in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
