“Despite government schools having qualified teachers, parents choosing corporate schools for their wards is regrettable,” he says and hence wants to correct it in a phased manner at least in his own parliament constituency.


He has offered to allocate funds from MPLADs in phases for purchasing benches for all government schools in the seven Assembly segments of his constituency. Handing over 2,270 benches costing Rs. 75 lakh to 45 high schools at V.T. Agraharam on Monday, he said 3,550 more benches at a cost of Rs.1 crore had been ordered.


Ashok Gajapathi Raju, a prince of the Vizianagaram has sanctioned Rs. 3.5 lakh for purchasing chairs for the city railway station.
